An interactive map of Port Moody lots, coloured by how many units Zoning Bylaw 2937 allows today. Most single detached lots allow four units under small-scale multi-unit housing, and lots the City maps near frequent transit allow six.
Click a lot to see its zone, its unit count, the rule behind that number, and a link to the full bylaw-cited report.
Zoning, civic addresses, the City small-scale housing map and Transit-Oriented Area tiers come from City of Port Moody open data. Parcel context comes from ParcelMap BC. Counts use the same Port Moody zone table and rules as the full report.
Every figure on this map is a starting point, not a permit. Actual capacity for a given site depends on lot dimensions, corner and lane conditions, easements, and form of development. Run the address for the cited, per-lot answer.
Most RS lots allow four units. A lot of 280 m² or less allows three, lots the City maps near a prescribed bus stop allow six, and a lot without a mapped sewer connection is limited to two. The exact count depends on the zone, the lot and the City map.
Small-scale multi-unit housing does not apply inside Port Moody Transit-Oriented Areas, so a lot there keeps its zone count. Higher density is reached by rezoning, at the tier minimums the Province sets for each area.
ZoneScout focuses on residential lots. Comprehensive Development, commercial, industrial and civic zones still appear on the map and name their zone, but the full report covers the A, RS, RT and RM zones.
